My good friend, Quinn McDonald, made this for me. She actually makes the paper and her own dyes. I met Quinn when I was teaching a nighttime graduate seminar on food at CSULA. She visited me in my office and requested that she bring her German Shephard to class because she lived in a very dangerous neighborhood. When I asked, “Where do you live?” She shocked me when I learned that her house was right around the corner from mine. We instantly bonded and are still close friends.
